Ta-Seti Study Group

DEFINITION:

TA-SETI is a medium to facilitate personal

intellectual, cultural, and spiritual growth, this is an opportunity to share and expand your consciousness.

PURPOSE:

The purpose of TA-SETI is to enhance the consciousness of African people through diligent research and analysis of our ancient and contemporary culture. TA-SETI intends to nurture, cultivate, and promote a stronger self-esteem, which will manifest in our lives as mutual respect and excellence in all of our endeavors.

Our primary objective is to ‘FREE’ the African

Mind!

OBJECTIVES:

° De-program the African mind by dispelling the

myths that have been taught to African people

° Balance and expand spiritual consciousness

° Introduce initiates to African Philosophy and Cosmology

^ Activate the Pineal Gland, thereby stimulating the growth of the genius within

GOALS:

• Annual fundraiser to benefit the work and research of Dr. Yosef ben -Jochannan

° Send students to Kemet annually

• Establish a speakers bureau utilizing local speakers

* Sponsor quarterly events based on the natural cycles of the solstice and equinox

° Plan an annual statewide activity in conjunction with other sister organizations

° Provide scholarship opportunities by sponsoring research paper competitions

° Plan educational tours to Africa and other important sites in the diaspora

° Present the fruits of individual and collective research to the community

REQUIREMENTS:

• Support TA-SETI’s goals, purposes and programs

BENEFITS:

TA-SETI is an on-going study course. Research papers are encouraged. You will develop the skills to research, analyze and present information in written or oral forms. The ability to communicate effectively is essential to share the bounty of our history.

° Increase your knowledge of our ancestors by learning about African history

° Develop and/or enhance speaking skills

° Aid the work of Dr. Yosef ben-Jochannan through fundraisers

° Annual educational tours to Africa

° Sponsor students to travel to Kemet

° TA-SETI will offer “Rites of Passage”, (Womanhood and Manhood training), at no cost to study group participants. This training is based on the research of Nathan and Julia Hare, co-authors of the book “ftites of Passage”

° Contribute to the education of our community by bringing major speakers to our city

TA-SETI is an opportunity to become more in tune with yourself. You will realign and

connect to the ancient/present/future…you! This is an opportunity to “KNOW THYSELF.”
